Throughout his life, Hamish Wallace excelled in the heavy events of the Highland Games of his native Scotland, winning every event in the largest of these, the Cowal Highland Gathering held annually in Dunoon, Scotland, several years straight. Although someone with his noteworthy height and girth would be expected to have considerable physical strength, his feats of strength were beyond belief.
One night, during a brawl outside the “Murrayfield Pub” in Edinburgh, his mutant abilities manifested, causing him to grow nearly two-thirds of a meter in height and gain over 35 kilograms of solid muscle mass. Being a fiercely proud Scot, the subject immediately registered with local authorities and began training with the United Kingdom’s official supergroup the New Knights of the Round Table under operatives “Sir Erdrick” and “Dame Photon”, eventually being provided with a Claymore composed of pure questionite by the UK government.
It was only after the BBC reported on a battle between Hamish and a squad of VIPER terrorists attempting to assassinate Queen Elizabeth II during a trip to Edinburgh that the media dubbed him “Lionheart”, a name which one reporter was quoted as saying “reflected his great rage and amazing strength”. Having saved the British sovereign from certain death, the subject was knighted, becoming a beloved symbol for proud Scots nationwide.
While on a goodwill tour of Millennium City several years ago, the subject was on hand during the Qularr invasion, leaping into battle alongside Earth’s champions to drive the invading aliens away. Ever since, the subject has remained in Millennium City as a liaison between the metahumans of the United Kingdom and the United States. Recently, his younger cousin Siubhan Wallace (UNTIL Superhuman Registry No.: 850139) has come to the United States in the hopes of learning how to gain a better control over her mutant ability to manipulate the weather. Both joined the mutant division of the Squadron Supreme, the Squadron eXtreme, although UNTIL experts believe that the elder Wallace joined the Squadron eXtreme to keep his younger and less experienced cousin from harm.
