Eldest child of Father Bruce Wallace and Dr. Amanda Campbell, Siubhan Wallace grew up with her feet in two worlds: the world of faith and the world of science. Her father has been the Parish Priest of St. Mary’s Church, one of the oldest Catholic churches in Scotland, for over a quarter of a century while her mother has been the Head of Pediatrics at Raigmore Hospital in Inverness for nearly fifteen years. Despite the often contradictory nature of their professions, the two raised their children with a healthy respect for the spiritual and the secular.
Despite being drawn to the church, the subject excelled in the sciences and chose to study education at the University of Aberdeen. However, she would still help her father with his work around the parish whenever she could. When her first cousin Hammish Wallace (UNTIL Superhuman Registry No.: 856227) evidenced mutant abilities in his early teens, the subject, like many in the Wallace clan, were of the opinion that his abilities were more of a curse than a blessing. Surprisingly, her father was the first to rally behind the young mutant, claiming that he had received his gifts in accordance with His plan.
The subject completed her degree and went on to do postgraduate study in Special Education, never suspecting that she too was a mutant. When Pope Benedict XVI visited nearby Edinburgh on the first stop of his tour of Scotland in 2014, the Wallace family was in attendance. Unfortunately, so were three members of the metahuman terrorist organization known as Eurostar – The Whip, Pantera and Bora – who planned to kidnap the pontiff to further their political agenda.
Terrified that Eurostar would kill innocents or even the Pope himself, the subject knelt down and prayed for the strength to defeat them. While the Whip and Pantera kept police occupied, the wind-manipulating mutant Bola attacked the Pope’s security detail. During the altercation, Siubhan’s weather-manipulating abilities manifested themselves. Despite her lack of training, she was more than a match for the terrorists, who were forced to flee to avoid capture.
Now unsure of her place in the world, she followed her cousin to America and joined the Squadron eXtreme in the hopes that a path will present itself.
