Bodysliding

When responding to crises, the Squadron typically employs bodyslides as the primary mode of transportation. In essence, the Squadron uses artificially-generated, stable wormholes to travel from place to place.

A wormhole is a tunnel-like connection offering almost instantaneous travel between two points. Based on Albert Einstein’s premise that an object’s very existence deforms space and time around itself, the wormhole warps space in such a way as to connect two vastly separated points in space-time.

Theoretically, the distance between either end of the bodyslide wormhole is infinite. However, the Squadron currently limits bodysliding to within one astronomical unit (AU) of Earth. The technology used to create bodyslide portals is a closely-guarded secret.
