She is capable of whistling at approximately 190db without augmentation and up to 500db when using her augmentations. Her natural singing talent gives her a five octave range and can shatter glass without aid at the upper register. Her cape provides gliding capabilities while singing or whistling, to maintain lift and altitude. She also has Jet boots built into her battle-suits.

It has been said that music soothes the savage breast but when Lydia Baker began singing, people began to take notice. At a young age, Baker became a billboard super-star. By the time she was seventeen, she discovered she could use her voice to amaze a crowd but also help others or even knock out bad guys.
At twenty five, her manager began embezzling money from her because he owed hundreds of thousands of dollars to loan sharks. When Baker found out, she fired him publicly. Furious at his dismissal, her manager hired some thugs to attack her one evening after a performance. He wanted them to rough her up and take away the only thing that mattered to her: her voice.
They never had a chance.
UNTIL Agent Austin Smith (Badge No. 114688), who had been following a lead on another potential metahuman asset, witnessed the incident and paid her a visit after she got back to her hotel room. Impressed at how Baker had handled herself, Smith invited her to join UNTIL and gain valuable training in how to best use her voice for the public good.
Intrigued by the offer and tired of constantly being on the road touring, she accepted. She publicly retired from the industry and took on the guise of Siren, Mistress of Sound
